A six-bay PRINTENCLOSURE in a working studio, filter unit mounted on top, a technician at an open bay.

    PRINTENCLOSURE

An enclosure built around your print fleet.

Two, four or six bays, each with a choice of Duct, Fan or Filtercase extraction. Connect to existing extraction, add a powered fan, or choose Filtercase with three-stage filtration. The enclosure shown has Filtercase fitted.

    Bays

    Two to six

    Packages

Duct · Fan · Filtercase, in each bay size

    Filtration

    Filtercase package: electrostatic pre-filter · H13-class HEPA · 6 kg activated carbon

    Supply

    Fig. 01 — Filtercase package

With extraction running, air is drawn in around the doors and pulled out through your selected package. Duct connects to your existing extraction system; Fan adds powered ducted extraction.

Choose Filtercase for an integrated fan and three filter stages on top of the enclosure. This package filters and recirculates air without external ducting.

What a particle filter cannot do

Particles and gases are two different problems.

The Filtercase package includes all three stages below, fitted to the unit.

    1. 01

      Electrostatic pre-filter

Takes coarse dust and fibres first, so the stages behind it last.

    2. 02

      H13-class HEPA element

High-efficiency particulate air filtration for the fine and ultrafine fraction.

    3. 03

      6 kg activated carbon

Adsorbs the volatile organic compounds and odour that a particle filter passes straight through.

Those are the filter manufacturer’s published specifications for the elements fitted in Filtercase, not our own test results. We supply their documentation with the Filtercase enclosure specification so your health and safety officer can assess it directly.

Ducting beats filtering. We’ll say it first.

Ducted external exhaust sits above recirculating filtration in the hierarchy of controls, and any health and safety officer worth having knows it. Every enclosure ships with a 150 mm duct interface for the buildings that allow it. Filtration is the recognised alternative control for the buildings that don’t — and an enclosure bought for one can be converted to the other.

Engineering materials that curl off the plate

ABS and ASA get the still, warm air they need.

    Fig. 02 — Printer bays

A closed bay holds chamber heat steady and keeps dust, knocks and draughts off the machine — which is what high-warp materials need to stay stuck to the plate.

The same two materials emit the most particulate and VOCs of the common filaments, so select ducted extraction or Filtercase to suit the room and your risk assessment. Each bay is an enclosed vertical compartment taking two desktop-class printers side by side, or one large-format machine.

Filament that has been sitting out

Spools live where the printers do.

Inside the enclosure, in a warmed enclosed volume, instead of on an open shelf in the room’s humidity.

Filament bundles and a recycling return can be specified with the enclosure, so the consumables arrive with it rather than as a second job.

    The fleet stops being furniture.

Printers, spools, tools and offcuts sit behind panelled doors instead of spreading across a bench, and the doors put a physical barrier where there used to be open air.

Quiet enough to hold a conversation next to it.

    Configure an enclosure

Will it fit what I already own

Two bays now. Six when the fleet gets there.

Bays are printer-agnostic — anything inside the clearance fits, whether we supplied it or not. A module carries two bays and modules bolt on left and right, so four and six do not mean replacing what you already bought or re-planning the room.

Choose Duct, Fan or Filtercase in each bay size. For a Filtercase build, we size the filtration against your layout.

    Bring your own

A bay reserved for a machine you already run ships without hardware. The clearance is 526 × 533 × 618 mm — if your printer fits inside that, it fits the bay.

    Specification

    What you are actually buying.

    Negative pressure

With extraction running, air is drawn in around the doors and out through the selected Filtercase or connected duct system.

    Three stages in series

The Filtercase package includes an electrostatic pre-filter, H13-class HEPA element and 6 kg activated carbon.

    Carbon for the gases

The Filtercase carbon stage adsorbs the gases that a particle filter passes through.

    Powered extraction

The Fan package includes a 562 m³/h extraction fan seated on the roof plate.

    Duct it instead

A 150 mm duct interface ships on every enclosure, filtered or not.

    Two bays a module

Modules bolt on left and right — two bays, then four, then six.

    526 × 533 × 618 mm clear

Per bay. Anything inside that clearance fits, whoever supplied it.

    Steady chamber heat

A closed bay holds heat and keeps draughts off the machine.

    Filament inside

Spools sit in the warmed enclosure rather than on an open shelf.

    Paperwork for the risk assessment

Specifications and declarations of conformity for the components fitted to your selected package.

    Filters held in stock

Replacements are stocked here, so there is no lead time on a service interval.

    Not fire rated

We have not sought a rating and the enclosure is not fire containment. Suppression is in development.
