How It Works
Start From Wherever Your Model Is At
Print-ready file, half-finished model, or nothing but concept art — there's a lane for each, and each one ends with a prop in your hands.
Path A
Your model is print-ready
Upload your model for our team to review and quote. Include your deadline; we will confirm feasibility and timing before you approve production.
Upload & Request a QuotePath B
Your model needs work
Parts to cut away, details to change, geometry that won't print. Send the model with a quick phone video or written notes describing the changes — we quote the design hours before touching it, then print.
Send Model + BriefPath C
No model yet
Concept art, reference photos, or just a description. Our in-house designers model it from scratch — sculptural or hard-surface — then print and finish it under the same roof.
Start From a ReferenceImperfect Models Welcome
Your Model Isn't Quite Right? That's Normal.
Most models that arrive from productions need something — parts cut away, details resized, geometry closed up so it can actually print. You don't need to fix any of that yourself, and you don't need to know CAD to explain it.
Our designers do the surgery, and the modelling time is quoted from your brief before any work starts — billed by the hour, from $165/hr ex-GST.
The Fastest Way to Brief Us
- 01
Open the model on your screen and record a phone video walking through exactly what you want cut, changed, or added — 60 seconds is usually plenty.
- 02
Prefer typing? Write the changes out instead — plain English is fine. "Remove the handle, smooth the top face, scale to 40cm tall."
- 03
Send the model plus your video or notes. We come back with the modelling quote and a print timeline — usually within hours.

Recent Brief
Hero Props, Overnight, On Set
A Sydney production company came to us with a rough model and a next-day deadline. The file wasn't printable as supplied — sections needed to be expertly cut away and rebuilt. Our designers did the modelling that afternoon, the fleet ran overnight, and the props were collected the next business day. On set, on schedule.

Prop Making, Answered
How fast can you actually turn a prop around?
Next business day is our standard rush for printable props — send files before midday and in most cases you collect the following morning. Same-day is possible for smaller parts when the schedule allows. Tell us your shoot date and we'll tell you honestly whether we can hit it before you commit.
My model isn't quite right — can you fix it?
Yes, and this is the most common situation we see. Record a quick phone video walking through what you want cut away, changed, or added — or write it out — and send it with the model. Our in-house designers quote the modelling time before any work starts, so there are no surprise fees.
How does pricing work?
Two parts. Send your print-ready file for our team to review and quote. Design and model repair is billed by the hour (from $165/hr ex-GST), quoted up front from your video or written brief. Rush turnaround is quoted per job based on machine priority.
What file formats do you accept?
STL, OBJ, 3MF, and STEP are ideal. We can also work from OnShape, Fusion, SolidWorks, and Blender files, or from reference images and concept art if there's no model at all.
How big can a prop be?
Our desktop fleet handles parts up to roughly 350mm per piece, and large-format additive manufacturing (LFAM) covers builds up to 1m³ in a single piece. Bigger props are sectioned, printed in parallel across the fleet, and assembled — a standard technique for hero props and set pieces.
Can you deliver a paint-ready or finished surface?
Yes. We offer sanding, priming, filling, and painting in-house, so props can leave here paint-ready for your art department or fully finished. Tell us which you need when you brief the job — raw prints are fastest, finished props need extra lead time.
Do you work under NDA?
Yes. Productions routinely require confidentiality and we're set up for it — unreleased designs, scripts, and reference material stay private, and nothing is photographed or published without written approval.
Where are you located and how do I collect?
Shop 1, Ground Floor, 67–69 Regent St, Chippendale — minutes from Central Station and an easy run to most Sydney studios and locations. Collect in person, send a runner, or we can arrange a courier.
