    WHY USE PLA

PLA is a low-warp material that prints reliably on virtually any FDM printer. Its excellent surface finish and wide colour range make it ideal for presentation models.

Visual and aesthetic models, architectural mockups, prototypes, and fit testing parts.

Industrial-scale printing using pellets or granules for oversized parts.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Common Questions About PLA

What is PLA best used for?

Visual and aesthetic models, architectural mockups, prototypes, and fit testing parts.

Do I need an enclosed printer for PLA?

An enclosure is not required by the PLA reference sheet. Check the printer's material guidance and ventilation requirements.

Does PLA need drying before printing?

STANDARD PRINT CO. filament is ready to print from an intact, sealed bag; no initial drying is needed. Reseal it in the foil bag with maintained desiccant between prints. After moisture exposure, assess recovery drying separately. Storage does not remove absorbed moisture; moisture-sensitive materials may need protected feeding while printing.

What nozzle temperature should I use for PLA?

The PLA reference sheet lists 190-240°C. Use a suitable printer profile, check nozzle and build-surface compatibility, and calibrate for the part.
