Cleaning filament purges a hotend between materials and colours — it isn't printed, it's pushed through. Feed it through after a nylon or carbon-fibre job and it scrubs residue out of the nozzle and melt zone before the next spool goes in.Key Features Removes colour and material residue — pushes leftover polymer out of the nozzle and heat break before a colour or material change. Cut lengths, not a spool — pre-cut segments feed straight into the extruder without unspooling filament you won't use again. Works across the printer's full temperature range — effective for both low-temperature (PLA-range) and high-temperature (nylon/ABS-range) purges. Not a Print Material — Read This FirstCleaning filament produces waste, not parts — don't slice a model for it or expect a usable print to come out the other end. Run it at the hotter of the two materials you're switching between, and keep feeding it through until it extrudes clean; stopping early leaves contamination in the melt zone for the next job.Applications Purging colour changes on a single-nozzle printer Switching between material families — PLA to PETG, or into and out of carbon-fibre and nylon blends Clearing a partially clogged or degraded nozzle before a job Decommissioning a hotend before storage How to Use Heat the nozzle to the higher of the two materials' temperatures. Unload the outgoing filament. Load the cleaning filament and extrude manually until the outgoing colour or material is gone. Drop the nozzle temperature to the incoming material's setting and purge again before loading it. Discard the extruded cleaning filament — it isn't a usable print material. Store cleaning filament like any other filament — sealed, away from moisture — though it's far less sensitive to humidity than nylon or PETG since it's never printed as a finished part.
