ABS FAMILY
ABS
EngineeringDurable engineering plastic. Heat and impact resistant.

WHY USE ABS
ABS offers excellent impact resistance and heat deflection. Its ability to be post-processed with acetone vapor makes it ideal for production-quality finishes.
Engineering housings, automotive components, and high-impact functional parts.
PRINTING REFERENCE
How to Print ABS
The same STANDARD PRINT CO. reference values appear in the TDS download. They are starting points, not batch test results or a calibrated machine profile.
| Nozzle Temperature | 220-250°C |
|---|---|
| Bed Temperature | 90-100°C |
| Fan Speed | 10-60% |
| Print Speed | < 300 mm/s |
| Enclosure | Yes |
| Recovery drying after exposure | 80°C, 8h |
Validate with a calibration print and consult the printer, nozzle and build-surface guidance. For recovery drying, also check spool and dryer temperature limits.
Our filament is ready to print from an intact, sealed bag; no initial drying is needed. Reseal it in the foil bag with maintained desiccant between prints. Storage does not remove absorbed moisture.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common Questions About ABS
What is ABS best used for?
Engineering housings, automotive components, and high-impact functional parts.
Do I need an enclosed printer for ABS?
The ABS reference sheet calls for an enclosure. Check your printer setup and ventilation requirements.
Does ABS need drying before printing?
STANDARD PRINT CO. filament is ready to print from an intact, sealed bag; no initial drying is needed. Reseal it in the foil bag with maintained desiccant between prints. After moisture exposure, assess recovery drying separately. Storage does not remove absorbed moisture; moisture-sensitive materials may need protected feeding while printing.
What nozzle temperature should I use for ABS?
The ABS reference sheet lists 220-250°C. Use a suitable printer profile, check nozzle and build-surface compatibility, and calibrate for the part.
