These terms set out the 12-Month Warranty included with every new printer we sell.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
The 12-Month Warranty is in addition to those rights and to any other rights and remedies you have under the law. We deal with faults covered by the consumer guarantees ourselves, at no cost to you. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
Normal printer behaviour. Schedule 2 lists characteristics of FDM 3D printers that are normal. We draw them to your attention before you buy. They are not defects under these terms.
Part A — 12-Month Warranty (included)
A1. Who it covers. Every new printer bought from STANDARD PRINT CO. The printer must be used in Australia.
A2. Period. 12 months from the date you receive the printer.
A3. What we do. If the printer has a defect in materials or workmanship during the period, we repair it or replace it, at our choice, including parts and labour, at no charge. This includes the extruder unit, which the manufacturer covers for 3 months only; we cover it for the full 12 months.
A4. Not covered. Consumables (Schedule 1), damage from accident, misuse or modification, and cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
A5. How to claim. Contact us using the details above with your order number, the printer's serial number and a description of the fault. Photos or video help. Clauses A7 and A8 explain how we assess a claim, how the printer reaches us and who pays freight.
A6. Claim costs. Covered repairs cost you nothing. Clause A8 sets out freight and the assessment fee when no covered fault is found. Clause A9 applies to false or deliberate claims.
A7. How we assess a claim
- We start with remote troubleshooting. Many faults are settings or maintenance issues that can be fixed without sending the printer.
- When the printer arrives, we record its condition on arrival with photos, record the serial numbers of the printer and its main parts, and read its logs and print-hours counter.
- We determine the cause of each issue you report and tell you our assessment in writing, including whether we consider it a defect, consumable wear, a settings or material issue, a maintenance issue or damage. If we decline a claim, we give reasons and photos.
- Before returning the printer, we test it and record the result.
A8. Getting the printer to us
- Bring the printer to our Sydney service centre, or arrange freight to us, packed in its original packaging or equivalent.
- Covered fault: we repair it, return it at our cost, and reimburse your reasonable freight to us. Send us the receipt. We reimburse up to the standard courier rate for that printer model and postcode, which we will tell you on request before you send it.
- No covered fault found: our $165 (including GST) assessment fee applies and freight both ways is yours. We tell you this before you send the printer, and we quote any repair before doing it. We return the printer once the assessment fee and any repair you approve are paid.
- Where the Australian Consumer Law requires us to collect the printer or meet transport costs, we do.
A9. False or deliberate claims
We refuse a claim where the fault was caused deliberately, a part has been swapped for a faulty one, or the claim includes information you know is false. If this happens, the assessment fee and freight in A8.3 apply.
A10. Changes to these terms
We do not change the 12-Month Warranty on a printer you have already bought, except to improve it.
A11. Your information
We use your contact details, the printer's serial number and claim records to administer your warranty. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
A12. Complaints and law
Contact us first. If we can't resolve a complaint, you can contact NSW Fair Trading or your state or territory consumer protection agency. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
Schedule 1 — Consumables
Consumables are parts that wear through normal printing and are replaced as routine maintenance. Normal wear of a consumable is not covered. Under Part A and the Australian Consumer Law, a consumable that fails because of a manufacturing defect is still remedied.

Schedule 2 — Normal printer behaviour
These are normal characteristics of FDM 3D printers. We draw them to your attention before you buy. They are not defects under the 12-Month Warranty.
- The complete hotend and its parts (nozzle, heating assembly, heater, thermistor, silicone sock) are consumables. Bambu Lab gives them no manufacturer warranty.
- Moisture-affected filament causes clogging and poor prints. Store filament dry.
- Calibration drifts with use and needs periodic service, every 12 months or 1,000 print hours.
- Cardboard spools can shed fibres and may not feed reliably in an automatic material system (AMS).
- Occasional failed prints are normal in FDM printing.
- Some app and cloud features depend on the manufacturer's online services.
